Alternate Ways to Invest in Clean Energy
If we are to get up to 20% by 2020, we're going to have to get cracking. The same Department of Energy says that in 2007 (preliminary figure) wind provided 31/100 of ONE percent of our energy consumption, up from 26/100 of ONE percent the previous year. That is truly a minuscule amount. The best you can say for it is that the field is wide open!

Wind Power Is Blowing Strong Right Now
That's all very nice, but Yahoo has almost NO info on FAN. If you want this ETF to have a market, you'd better get Yahoo up to speed on it; that would be my advice to Robert Carey of First Trust!

      Thornburg's a Huge Bargain After Monday's Crash
Gary, you don't have to buy on margin to sell a covered call, just plain buy. I got in for 2.45 per share today after deducting my call premium from the price paid for the shares. It is very doubtful that the dividend will survive, but the real bet is on a recovery in the share price.

      The Bear Turns Mildly Bullish
Alan, it is way too soon to call a bottom. With the Democratic candidates all talking about how they are going to save us, and with the negative expectations created by the sag in world markets, my prediction is that the market will open "gap down" this morning, and continue down from there. The rally you expect may or may not develop during the day; my personal belief is that it will not. Today will be a pivotal day in any event, with the volatility providing great opportunities to lose or make lots of money.
