      When Will the Recession End?
When the Democrats pass all their Socialistic policies and programs our country will look like a decadent European Society.

Does anyone in their right mind think its business as usual after the next four years.

Pray that Obama moves to the middle.

Provident Energy Trust: Income for Today and Tomorrow
Own PVX, sold PWE ($34) and AAV ($14). Please take note the Canadian government said "anything that comes out of the ground belongs to all the people".

Will continue to use PVX for monthly income,at present levels it looks interesting.

2 Safe Bets Amidst Big Banks' Worrying High Yields
The investment and regional banks should be beat down after the scam they ran with the CMO's and sub prime.I have a large position in local bank upstate NY that is run very well, profit increases the last two quarters and foreclosure rate well under 1%.Now the share price is in the dumpster.USB has been on my watch list but I'm reluctant to touch any financial and my guess is the financial sector will take years to recover.

      Right on article.

MT appears to be a great long term play, but are we late to the party at $95.

The earthquake in China and subsequent rebuilding is also a lead story.

Upstream MLPs and Canadian Royalty Trusts: High Return, High Risk?
I presently own PVX (Provident Energy Trust) and BBEP (MLP) and have owned other Canroys the Last few years.I agree 100% that the Socialist Canadian Gov. may continue the assault on the trusts. But you state "could change" "may" regarding MPL's.BBEP hedging goes way down going forward and in my eyes is way under priced at $20.91 and a 8.2% divy,PVX owns 20% of BBEP.

Owning Too Many CEFs Is a Bad Thing
33% of my portfolio are ETF's.They add some stability, great exposure and good dividends. The up and down side are limited but the divys make up for that.My one "balanced mutual fund" is in the dumpster with a poor monthly pay out ( my bad,I listened to my broker).

When the Economy Hands You Lemons, Consider Dividend ETFs
David, in the last 15 years I haver never bought anything that has not paid a divy.My time line is 2 to 9 years and it has worked for me.

I own ADVDX(5% of portfolio) and collect a large divy monthly, yes my principal is down but if you believe in the markets I shall have it all back and more.
