      The Shallowest Generation
      Nice piece.

I believe the reason we are in this mess is we do not have leaders that are men.

      That's right, men.

      As in, men with testosterone.

Men that can say NO to the demands of punks and slackers, and make it stick.

      Bending over doesn't cut it.

You have to be able to say no, and when they whimper and bleat, and scream, and chant, laugh in their faces.

Until we have men like that in places of power, we will always be the victims of the greedy.

Preserving U.S. Economy Over Free Markets (Short Sellers)
Another point, I believe the reasoning that short selling is required to find a fair price is vastly overrated.

You could limit any short selling in financials to licensed market makers to retain market liquidity. That being for the amount of time it took to quiet the market.

Taking the uninhibited short (puts are not quite the same power) away from hedge funds and whoever is causing this panicked, PRICE INSENSITIVE selling would be a smart move.

      Shorts are not NATURAL sellers.

You need to do some more work on IBKR, they make more than 'some' money from prop trading. THEY ARE MARKET MAKERS WORLDWIDE.

Lumping them in with the others is poor workmanship.

They may or may not beat, but it has little to do with retail clients.
